AREA : Weaving
OBJECT : dobby loom
DESCRIPTION : starting from above, there's the dobby from which threads attached to the heddles descend. The heddles are kept steady by springs fastened to boards.
In the back are tied the threads of the warp and the counterweights which keep them tight while they are wound on the beam.
The threads are passed through the stitches of the heddles and the hackle and they become cloth which is then moved to a hand-operated beam.
